SITE CREATION
Winning Design Jasmine CMS utilises a template approach which enforces the integrity of the presentation by separating design from pages and content. Multi-Language Support Jasmine CMS is enabled to accommodate international languages as required. Employing standardised URL’s across multiple languages means wherever in the site you are, the user can swap languages and remain on the same page, viewing the content in the new language.
Style Sheet (CSS) Management During the setup of Jasmine CMS, Page Designers utilise CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to control the formatting of content. The advantage of using a style sheet is that a change to format in one place is incorporated automatically through all the web pages that utilise the particular style sheet.
Search Engine Optimized All content generated by Jasmine CMS is optimized for indexing by major search engines. Every page is created to produce search engine-friendly URLs, HTML and appropriate metadata like meta tags, descriptions and page titles. Jasmine CMS can automatically generate meta data to assist authors / administrators in creating meaningful keywords and descriptions. CONTENT CREATION & MANAGEMENT
Task Management Notification of tasks via the Task Manager, email and Desktop Notification tool ensure authors and administrators are always informed of pending tasks requiring their attention.
Form Based Content Creation Jasmine CMS forms engine allows content entry forms to be created and customised based on the technical skills possessed by authors, content structure, level of detail, complexity, and whether content is heavy on media or text. Customised content entry forms streamline the process of new page creation, promote consistency and allow non technical authors to concentrate on content creation rather than concern themselves with the design elements and presentation.
WYSIWYG Editing & Spell Checker Jasmine CMS provides authoring and editing tools similar to those found in standard Office applications. Users have the online tools to cut and paste, format, present and even spell check their content within a rich text editor. With such authoring tools available for complex or "freehand" documents, content contributors are empowered with the freedom to manage their content, yet with style sheet guidelines to ensure consistency in presentation.
Media Management Non-technical users can easily upload images and other rich media like PDFs, PPT's etc. The Media Manager ensures media assets are centrally maintained so that authors can browse, search and select the appropriate media for their content. Meta data can also be stored with media, like images to improved SEO ratings. The Media Manager provides thumbnail previews, to assist authors in selecting media. Jasmine CMS can also be configured to automatically resize images for appropriate content presentation.
Powerful Workflow Approval From simple publishing to multi-step serial approvals, rejections and routing, Jasmine provides the workflow requirements needed for different types of content. New workflows are simple to create and maintain with visual diagrams dynamically created to show routing and approval steps. The status a workflowed document appears in the individual’s Task Manager and can be sent to an individual's email account. Each document also contains an audit trail to show the progress and potential bottle necks in the publishing process.
Multi-Language Management When creating content, the author has the option to create additional languages and manage these from the same place. Jasmine utilises the same URL across different languages so the author can see all languages available, and can update other documents when a change is made to one language.
Publishing & Archiving Schedules Jasmine automates the process of setting publishing and expiry dates. Defaults can be set by the Administrator (See Form Management) which set proposed parameters (eg Archive after One Year) for Authors based on the type of content. This enables the timely publication and review / archiving of content.
One Click Editing Authors and Editors with the appropriate rights can view documents "live" on the website and with "one click" can take a presented document into edit mode. This editing option is helpful in spotting small changes to content and reviewing existing content that has been on the site for some time.
Individual Document Statistics Every document can be tracked including how many times it has been viewed, when it was published and last updated. An additional module can be added to allow users to rate / vote the article if desired.
ADMINISTRATOR MANAGEMENT
Page Creation / Management Page Management allows Administrators to create and manage the structure of web pages by using different components. Each Page Management form displays a list of various components that have been defined for the various site areas. The Administrator can create or edit a page simply by adding or removing components from each of the defined site areas.
Different page layouts can be defined for different languages, or multiple languages can be all managed from within one page layout.
Component Management From a Content Management perspective, a web page is created and viewed as a collection of components. Components can be reused across multiple pages, yet are manage centrally in one place. Component Management allows Administrators to define the look and feel of each component, based on site area, category, and the type of content.
Form Management Form Management allows Administrators to define the fields and attributes of forms used in content creation. Fields can be created, enabled or hidden depending on the nature of content and the skill set of content authors. A form can be very simple (e.g. for quick content entry) or complex by adding options for additional fields or the WYSIWYG Editor.
Workflow Management Workflows are simple to create and maintain with Jasmine’s visual workflow editor. Workflows can be assigned to people or groups as well as document types, again allowing reuse. The Administrator can setup notifications of workflow steps through email as well as appearing in the Task Manager of the user. Workflow integrates with user group ensuring centralised management of security.
CMS Security Jasmine’s granular security applies various levels of security to prevent any unauthorized access. LDAP support can be integrated for user authentication. A user’s access to content is limited by the role and the accompanying privileges and permissions. Access controls are implemented to prevent unauthorised users from creating, modifying or deleting content.
Taxonomy Management Within Jasmine CMS, the Administrator can define the sitemap of the website, categories used in presentation, keywords utilised in forms, and translation words required in site components.
Rich Media Management Ensures rich media assets are centrally maintained so that authors can upload, browse, search and select the appropriate media.
Reporting Jasmine integrates easily with third party site reporting and SEO analytics.
